The Faculty of Administrative and Financial Sciences at Israa University organized a specialized workshop on "The Crisis of Corona Virus (COVID-19): Consequences on the Palestinian Economy".
The meeting, which was held on Wednesday, was attended by selective experts and specialists from several Palestinian institutions, as well as
lecturers of university's Faculty of Administrative and Financial Sciences.


The workshop was opened by Dr. Ahmad Al-Haussaina, Dean of the Faculty of Administrative and Financial Sciences, welcoming the attendance. He said that "this effectiveness comes within the efforts of Israa University, which aims at interacting with the issues that pass through the Palestinian society and contributing to finding the suitable scientific solutions for it".

The workshop witnessed many interventions and discussions that affected the meeting, and highlighted key issues and aspects that could be a scientific and practical platform for overcoming the consequences of the "Corona" pandemic. Additionally, the discussions spotted many important recommendations regarding the role of government and the private sector and  banking institutions.


By the end of the meeting, participants praised the leadership role of Israa University and its interaction through organizing this workshop; albeit, confirming the necessity of activating the role of higher education institutions in confronting the problems of society and contributing to solving them.


Participants accordingly stressed on the need for further meetings and specialized workshops; to discuss the various dimensions of this current pandemic crisis in more detail and with the attendance of as many decision makers and representatives of various Palestinian society institutions as possible.
