Al-Asraa University organized on Thursday, 28 November, a solidarity stands on the occasion of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, in which members of the Administrative and Academic Commission participated.

Dr. Alaa Matar, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, confirmed in a speech during the solidarity stand that the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, which the world and the United Nations mark as a world day of solidarity with the Palestinian people, in accordance with General Assembly resolution 40/32b, adopted in 1977, to draw the world's attention to the question of the Palestinian people.

Dr. Matar called upon the United Nations, its institutions and the international community as a whole to stand by the Palestinian people at a time when the policies and practices of the Israeli occupation, which violate the rights of the Palestinians and violate the provisions of international law, have escalated.

Matar denounced the continuing silence of the international community on those violations and the continuation of American policies that violate international law. The last of which was US Secretary of State George Pompio's declaration that Israeli colonial settlements do not violate international law is an attempt to legitimize the settlement operations and annexation that the Israeli occupation country committed in the West Bank and Jerusalem.

Dr. Matar renewed his demand to the international community to stand with the Palestinian people to achieve the Palestinian right and punish the Israeli occupation entity for what he did, and he still does it daily against the Palestinian people. More than ever, the international community was called upon to shoulder its legal and moral responsibilities; to take practical measures and measures that would ensure respect for the principles and provisions of law, justice, custom, international action to end the occupation and the realization of the legitimate and inalienable rights of the Palestinian people.

He also called for the international community to shoulder its legal and moral responsibilities, to take practical measures and measures to ensure respect for the principles and provisions of international law to end the occupation and to realize the legitimate and inalienable rights of the Palestinian people through the adoption of a binding international resolution ending the occupation and providing international protection to the Palestinian people.

In a recent conclusion, he sent a message to the world through the pause that a geographical spot, Palestine, was still under occupation and needed your support and solidarity.
