Al-Israa University signs Memorandum of Understanding with Umm Al-Bawaki University

Israa University signed a memorandum of cooperation with the University of Umm Al-Bouaqi in the Algerian Republic, aimed at enhancing cooperation between the two universities and exchanging experiences and supporting Israa University in many fields.
The memorandum was signed in the presence of Dr. Adnan Al-Hajjar, President of Israa University and Dr. Farida Houbar, President of the University of Umm Al-Bouaqi, at the headquarters of the University of Umm Al-Bouaqi in the sister country of Algeria. The MoU calls for closer cooperation between the two universities through the development of academic staff, and PhD available and exchange visits to members of the teaching staff at the two universities and benefit from joint experiences and supervision of messages and theses.
The agreement also provides for the promotion of scientific research and joint work to publish many scientific researches in refereed journals in both universities or outside them, and to work on opening joint disciplines commensurate with the requirements of the local and international market and the development of joint academic curricula. It also provides for the mutual benefits of the signatories and the strengthening and expansion of the common interests, including the exchange of studies between the universities for doctoral study under the joint supervision and cooperation in the projects of studies and scientific research and the production of scientific and academic journals and exchange of students for undergraduate and graduate studies.
These agreements come within the context of the strategic vision pursued by Israa University to develop higher education in Palestine in general and the Gaza Strip in particular through partnership with regional and international educational institutions in its belief in the important role played by higher education in supporting the desired development in various fields in Palestine.
The University also signed two MoU with the universities of Bandirma and Alanya of Turkey, which aim to enhance joint cooperation, scientific research and exchange between the three universities.
Dr. Ibrahim Al-Haussaina, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Israa University, and Dr. Adnan Al-Hajjar, President of the University, are conducting an external tour to coordinate and co-operate with a group of Arab and Islamic universities in order to promote the University's students and academic and administrative bodies.
