The "SCOPUS" database of the prestigious Dutch publishing company "Elsevier" indexed Israa University Journal of Applied Sciences.

This step that has been achieved by Israa University in Gaza is considered as a distinctive starting point for scientific research and an achievement that is the first of its kind at the national level as a qualitative addition to scientific publishing.

Scopus is the largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature, including scientific journals, books and conference proceedings. It provides a comprehensive vision for the outcomes of the international scientific research in a variety of disciplines for over 5,000 publishers. Moreover, Scopus covers about 22000 titles, and it is used by more than 3,000 academic, government and corporate institutions.

On Tuesday, the editor-in-chief of the journal, Dr. Abdel-Fattah Qarman, pointed out in a statement received by the Palestinian Press Agency "Safa" that indexing the journals in "Scopus" means that they are of high scientific quality, and enable the researchers to get access the most accurate and efficient journals to publish their researches.

Also, Dr. Qaraman emphasized that the journal that is accepted in Scopus becomes more popular at the international level and gives the opportunity to cooperate with other researchers around the world, due to the improved accessibility of the journal as the possibility of quoting content from other authors increases, "which means a higher scientific contribution to the academic community ".

It is worth noting that "ELSEVIER", the publisher, indexed the journal's researches in its October 2021 issue due to the quality of the scientific researches of the journal.
